Hi, I’m Emma,
My own health journey began in my mid-30s when, as a single mum to two young boys, I was told I had a genetic risk of colon cancer having lost my own mother at just 8 years old. Looking back, this was a pivotal moment, my “why”, which was the start of a major lifestyle overhaul – particularly learning about the subject of nutrition and how this impacts our overall health and well-being.
A year later, in 2006, I decided to become self-employed and taught French and Spanish in local primary schools so I could combine working with childcare. Then, in September 2016, once my youngest started high school, I decided to retrain and follow my true calling as a personal trainer.
I thought I would share some of my pictures to help inspire any lady who feels stuck in their own body. The “before” ones are from my early-mid 30’s whilst the second one are from my late 40’/early 50’s. I gained 4 stone with each pregnancy and struggled to find any time, let alone the energy to focus on losing my post-pregnancy weight. Through a focus on eating for health, plus gaining a much deeper knowledge of how different types of training affect our lean muscle/body fat composition, my own body began to change….
The idea to transform a garden office into a fitness studio was the perfect solution to achieve the ideal work/life balance I dreamed of, plus offer exclusivity and privacy for my future clients. The garden offered a blank canvas for change so I designed and landscaped it from scratch.

My 6m x 4m studio was installed by a UK-based company called Green Retreats. As one of their first clients to transform a studio into a gym, I was delighted when they selected mine to become a case study both online and in their brochure. During the pandemic lockdown a few years later, my studio provided the perfect place to offer online workouts in, something I will always be grateful for.
I aim to offer clients a complete wellness solution to make a real positive change to their health to thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally. I aim to help women of all ages become the best version of themselves, whatever goals I am presented with.
My mission is to empower women to embrace their strength, health, and confidence through personalised fitness training. By focusing on individual needs and fostering a positive mindset, I aim to inspire lifelong healthy habits and a deep sense of self-belief in every woman I work with.
